Volunteer Placement with The Big Picture

Big Picture Postcard Logo BlueIn late June and during the preparation for the World Record attempt Audiences Central (who are running The Big Picture) are looking for a volunteer to help with the many thousands of photos they’re receiving by post and handed in at art galleries.

Find out how to apply:

Audiences Central is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to complete a two week placement as part of The Big Picture. We are looking for someone to scan photographs submitted by the general public, and upload images from CDs to The Big Picture site to contribute to our world record total.

This is a crucial piece of work that must be completed by 27 June. You will receive full training on how to scan and upload the images (although knowledge of Photoshop would be an advantage).

There will also be some opportunities in July and August to be involved in assisting with mosaic construction workshops and the final construction of the Big Picture World’s Largest Photo Mosaic event weekend in August.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in a career working in the arts, and the chance to play a significant role in a high profile, world record breaking project.

If you are interested in this placement, and are available to start Monday 16 June for 2 weeks, based in Birmingham, please supply a CV and a brief covering letter to abigail.corfan@audiencescentral.co.uk by Monday 2 June.
